Riding Lessons

Rymar Logo

A good rider starts with good horsemanship. Each lesson is a building block to improve riding skills while having a better understanding of the horse. At Rymar, safety is equally important to the learning process and is always a part of the lesson program.

Rymar offers riding lessons for both English and Western riders from beginning to advanced. We teach riders ages 7 and up. Whether you want to pleasure ride, brush up on your skills, or work toward competing in shows, the Rymar instructors are well-qualified to guide you to your goal.

Week Long Riding Program

The week long riding program is designed for students ages 8 and older. Riders follow a structured level achievement course, consisting of four levels of horsemanship where students learn how to groom, wash, tack up, and ride. We also teach students about general horse care and horsemanship through manuals and hands on experience with our superior staff as guides. Both English and Western styles are available and are taught from beginners to advanced levels. Students are assigned their own horse to care for and ride during the week. Students are matched with a horse that compliments their skill level and personality. Rymar horses are known for being superb school horses as they are gentle, calm, healthy and well trained.

Rymar Ranch is committed to safety and a mutually beneficial relationship between horse and rider. The facility is clean and well organized. The staff is experienced and professional and the student to instructor ratio is low. Each session is limited to 10 students per week.
